Pre-Season Training Opportunities Coming Soon
The pre-season player development clinics are designed and coordinated by Rosemount High School Baseball Head Coach, Chris Swansson. Chris and RHS his staff along with the support of the varsity players conduct all of the sessions: Progressive, Hitting, Catching, and Pitching
Each session is set up by age group for your players current grade in 2024-2025 school year. By having each age level train together we can better specialize the training to cater to skills unique to their age level. This will be a benefit to the training atmosphere and to the overall development of our teams.
The clinics will begin with reviewing basic fundamentals and build on those skills each consecutive week.
Review the opportunities below for further details about the clinics and how to register.

The pitching clinic is designed to help players build strength and flexibility in their arm and core through dynamic workouts. During the sessions players work to increase rotational energy, core strength, and explosive movements. Many of the drills focus on balance and extension with an emphasis on improved feel for pitch grips. Pitch analytics of each player is also collected to better help them develop as a pitcher and create benchmarks based on their personal skill set. Players have the opportunity to participate in competitive bullpens (flat or mound) in order to develop pitch sequence, feel, and tempo.

The catching clinic features tools and skills needed to become an effective catcher. Each week, players are taught a specific skill including: correctly framing pitches, block baseballs in the dirt, throw to different bases, catch fly balls, and understand body positioning based on actual game situations. Sessions also include game/competition between players to highlight the skill(s) learned that night. Players receive individual instruction and feedback on the skills learned. Additional benefits include building arm strength, flexibility, and the opportunity to catch live bullpens with other players of their same ability
