Concussion Certification

To help ensure the health and safety of our young athletes, the Centers for Disease Control developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.

Concussion Certification is a mandatory requirement for all RAAA board members, program directors, program board members, coaches, assistant coaches and officials.

Concussion Certification is also a State law requirement in the state of Minnesota.

Volunteers who continue to participate will be required to take the concussion training once every three (3) calendar years. Training for one program is applicable for all RAAA programs.

If you are planning to coach and are uncertain of your status please email Courtney Karban  and she will gladly let you know if you have a valid Concussion Certification on file.
